Regarding Medal of Honor winner Desmond T. Doss, I agree with Acad Ronin. Mr. Doss served his country gallantly and on his own terms. Many so-called “conscientious objectors” (quotes are appropriate here I think) just ran away and hid.

Skytote is an old prototype I've seen before, and is also similiar to an old Lockheed idea for a jet fighter that could take off in that fashion, to maximize room available on a aircraft carrier. Their primary problem was landing at some of the harsher sea states, I think...
