Maybe the Iranians are anxious to buy new planes because theirs are falling apart. They haven't been able to purchase new aircraft since the US slapped an embargo on them after the Revolution. And, yes, Airbus planes have enough US content that they are covered under the embargo.
This was all heavily discussed a couple of months ago after a crash in Tehran. But in the fever swamps of the threat-mongers, everything the Iranians do is the apocalypse. If they're buying cars, it must be for car bombs. If they're buying cigarettes, it must be for underage smokers. That's how evil they really are.

Umm, terrorists aren't the only ones concerned about the intrusive nature of Google's ambitions.
