    I guess they didn’t look into the very interesting lethal and non lethal weapons of sound that are being developed.

    In the ‘intelligent infantry’ link I am glad to see that American infantry is being taught to identify its targets, especialy when in urban environments with lots of civilians around. One of the standard briefings that used to be given to British infantry just before going out on patrol was ‘your not Americans, if you need to shoot, shoot but make sure you know who your shooting’. As more and more American infantry gets trained this way it will do wonders for their reputation with their allies.

    … been posted before? The date on the article is Feb 2006 issue of ‘Air Force’.

    It sounds oddly familar as I was reading through it.
