Not So Divine After All?

Remember Divine Strake – a.k.a. "strakes on a plain"? Well, forget it. At least for this year.

Palm Springs’ KESQ reports that the planned massive explosion at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) has been put off till 2007, at the earliest.

anfo.jpgDivine Strake, recall, was supposed to consist of 700 tons – many, many trucks’ worth – of ammonium nitrate/fuel oil emplaced in a shallow pit. The test did not represent an operationally realistic conventional weapon (700 tons!!! of explosives!). Rather, it was intended to simulate the effect of a very low-yield (under 600 ton) nuclear weapon on underground structures.

It is still unclear what the reasons for the delay are. The report from KESQ hints, though, that the issue may involve disputes over Western Shoshone tribal claims to NTS lands, as well as concerns that the explosion might stir up contaminated soil and send radioactive material downwind.

I guess Samuel Jackson got his way this time....

What a great idea. Maybe it will cause even more mysterious cancer cases for generations to come!

What in the world are we doing. Are we trying to destroy the world. Does anyone know or care about what would happen to the earth with the use of these kinds of weapons. With all of the faults and other geological issues, how would the mad scientist perdict the long term effect. The earth is a living being, it will come a time when the earth's immune system with began to attack its infection, meaning us. Then it will began to destroy and rid itself of the disease. How long do we think that we can continue to use these weapons without consequences. As sure as the sun rises the earth will clense itself and start anew.

Alternately, Mr. "Ayatolla" (sic), maybe someone in the Pentagon just thought, "Maybe we can make this test better."

I know reading comprehension may be a bit hard for people of such mindsets as yourself, i.e., those ready to demonize a particular group as a reflex rather than from any kind of foundation in fact or reality, but did you miss the bit in this article that says, "It is still unclear what the reasons for the delay are" and mentions a few public safety issues?

I would like to thank the coalition of different Liberal/democrat/anti-america/anti-nuclear/enviromentalist who made this moment possible. The evil Bushitler will now not dare using his bunker busting nukes without knowing the possible fall out ranges of such an attack. Thank you praise Allah

We can now rest assured that even our most remote deep earth bunkers are now safe from the evil Amerika. Thank you "praise Allah". We were worried that those bunkers may need to be evacuated to the population centers were the collateral damage would be too much for even the Bushitler to consider. Thank you praise Allah

We were especially worried about our few deep earth bunkers with our Chem/Bio labs weapon stockpiles. Our spies had found that the US would not dare attack such targets unless they could produce enough heat to Burn the weapons avoiding a massive poison wind cloud. Stupid Americans worry more about our citizens than even their own troops. Praise Allah for this weakness. We now rest assured that the Amerika's have no conventional weapons capable of both penetrating and incinerating the contents of our deep earth bunkers. Thank you praise Allah.

We will now redeploy more ground forces to protect against their only viable option left a SOF or small unit Ranger style deep strike assault. Praise Allah this even if successful will be very costly. Thank you praise Allah.

Lil Kim sends his thanks as-well.

Again Thank you and Praise Allah you truley are our greatest asset and advantage in this war.

Love,
Ayatollah of Iran
PS when we win the war we promise we will kill you last for your service to Allah even thou you are infidels and your values of Homosexual support/participation, Perversion, un-checked Freedom, Atheism, protection of retarted and criminal mentalities, disbelief in the death penalty, does not allow your conversion or Definitude status like the infidel Christians and Catholics.
