Hats off to Thales, and SOCOM, for making a piece of JTRS that might just work as advertised. The PRC-148 has always wowed me with its capabilities- all the capability an RTO needs in a fraction of the space a manpack radio occupies.
If the rest of the JTRS program were aimed at incremental updates, we might have seen more gear fielded by now. I think there's a lesson there for the industry as a whole.
