You probably are refering to the article in the March issue of “Field Artillery” magazine which documented this event.

WP was used only by Artillery units and not by Tact Air in the form of a Mk77. Besides the traditional uses of this ordience it was also used to flush out enemy troops and against a structure.

All the uses of WP that occured in Fallugah were with in the rules of land warfare.

White Smoke marks the enemy position, colored you own.
